Secretariat Bios
Alexander Rodewald is the Secretary-General of Northwest Model United Nations - Portland 2024. Alexander has staffed Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics at Northwest Model United Nations - Seattle 2023. This will be Alexander's seventh time staffing at NWMUN, beginning in the distant past of 2007-2008 and continuing after he returned in 2021. He has served as Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics at the last two NWMUN-Seattle conferences, and is honored to be serving as Secretary-General for the first time. Prior to 2022, he served in various committee staff positions, and originally came to MUN as a student in both high school and college. He is very excited to be back in the flow of the Model UN world.
Outside of MUN, Alexander owns and operates a small business in Vancouver, WA, and spends his free time with his children, woodworking, being a snob about books and coffee, and enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Lily Hamilton is very happy to be serving as the Director-General for NWMUN-Portland 2024. This will be her 9th NWMUN conference as a staffer. She most recently served as Director of the General Assembly at NWMUN-Seattle 2023. Lily is very passionate about Model United Nations, and International Relations in general. She believes that MUN has the power to educate individuals on important international issues, increase problem solving and team work skills, and provides a place to form life-long friendships. She truly hopes every delegate has an amazing time at the conference, and gets as much out of the MUN experience as she has.
Outside of MUN, Lily works for the Government of British Columbia and spends her free time adventuring with friends and family, cooking, baking, and listening to lots of music.
Casey Figone is the Assistant Secretary-General for Conference Services for Northwest Model United Nations - Portland 2024. Casey began staffing at NWMUN in 2022, and has served as an Assistant Director for the General Assembly, a member of Conference Services, and now as a member of the Executive Secretariat. Through all of his Model United Nations experience, Casey has deeply enjoyed being a part of NWMUN and hopes to continue to support both the Seattle and Portland conferences throughout his college career.
Outside of Model United Nations, Casey is studying for an engineering degree and enjoys spending time with friends, family, and his partner.
